Felicia Reinitz

I graduated from UCLA where I obtained a B.S. in Computational and Systems Biology with a minor in Spanish. During and after my time as an undergraduate student at UCLA, I studied molecular and signaling pathways in glioblastoma in Paul Mischel’s lab. I am now a student in Stanford’s MSTP working towards my PhD in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine.

As part of Michael Clarke’s lab, I am studying the role of neural stem cells in medulloblastoma tumor initiation as well as disrupted stem cell activity in neurodegenerative disease. In the future, I plan to balance clinical practice in oncology with basic research emphasizing understanding disease mechanisms and improving treatments of pediatric brain tumors. Outside of lab I enjoy music, traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
